Surreal Spots

There's a post from Buzzfeed (based on a question posed on Quora.com) that's been making the rounds on Facebook, detailing the 27 most surreal places in the world to visit, and wow! Surreal they sure are! You wouldn't believe we're still on planet Earth! Here are my top picks...

The Ancient Region of Anatolia, Turkey
Specifically, the rock sites of Cappadocia, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Fairy chimneys is a name given to the naturally-formed stone hills in Cappadocia, and from which houses, churches and monasteries were carved out from the soft rocks of volcanic deposits.

The Tunnel of Love/The Green Mile in Kleven, Ukraine
Trees and vegetation have grown around a train track, leaving just enough space for the train that passes by three times a day to rattle through. Yes, an actual train goes through this tunnel daily so be alert when shooting your photos here!

To Sua Ocean Trench in Lotofaga Village, Opolu, Samoa
I'm not sure of how to get here, but... Yes! This is truly breathtaking. I shall figure out how to get there (and blog about it, naturally).

Other activities to be done in Waitomo, on New Zealand's North Island, include Black Water Rafting and exploring Ruakuri Cave and Aranui Cave, so it'll be an adventure trip if you ever make it there!

So that's my pick of surreal places I might most probably go to from the 27 listed. For the full list, go to Buzzfeed and let me know where you would go to.
